Tonight Deb Frecklington admitted the LNP is going to cut Queensland jobs again. She’s said she will “get state finances under control”.

As the Palaszczuk government is in office, if neither side wins a majority at the election, the government can stay in office until it is defeated in the Assembly on a significant vote. Which means the opposition must deal with the crossbench to defeat the government. #qldvotes

The point about a fixed term parliaments is a government will form. That government will stay in office unless the opposition combine with the cross bench to defeat it, either to replace the government, or to force a new election. The government can't call an election. #qldvotes

Qld Election: @AnnastaciaMP said this campaign was going to be ‘personal and nasty’.. she was right.. so far the Deputy Premier @StevenJMiles has called independent candidates and those from minor parties - ‘weirdos, freaks’ and now ‘space cadets’. #QLDvotes

On 31 October Queensland will elect a FIXED 4-year Parliament. One of the major parties will form government even if neither of them has a majority. The major parties WILL talk to the cross bench to either (1) form government or (2) stop the others forming government. #qldvotes
